Bass Tournament Fishing
I was born in Caracas- Venezuela. At early age my father introduces me to fishing. I did start this journey catching the all mighty Peacock Bass and then over hundred different species on different bodies of water. I won my first Peacock Bass Fishing tournament at age of 10 against the best peacock bass Fishermans of the country,
Due to my job I had the opportunity to fish around the world different species including one IGFA line class World record. Moreover, I have represented Venezuela Fishing team in the Black Bass World Championship five times.
In 2020 I moved to Florida "Fishing Capital of the World" where I found home...
Today, I'm focusing on Professional Bass Fishing Tournaments.
The Fifth Round of the KOTG at Holiday Park was very good with a lot of big Bags. We manage to get 17.5 lbs and ended on the 25th place. Most of the bites came from top water lures and the Bruiser Bait Big Nasty.
Very entertainment tournament with several fishing techniques applied. I had a rough first day where the big bites never happens and a second day I manage to get a better bag than average and comeback >40 positions on the ranking and ending on the middle of the pack. Outstanding new knowledge of this fishery was acquired during this tournament and I'm sure it will provide results in the future.
Mid pack performance in two back to back BFL Tournaments and then on the big stage of the Toyota series things didn't work out... I was around the right fish but I was unable to land them. A heart breaking results but need to stand up and bring my best performance on the upcoming tournaments and leave this slump behind.
The first Toyota Series Southern Division 2025 tournament took place in Lake Okeechobee. Two days were strategy worked ok but I was both days one bite away to be able to qualify to championship day. Despite of the 69th place and good points obtained It was a difficult result to take due to the expectations and the hard work I put into this event. Next stop Harris Chain of Lakes.
80 Boats with the top Anglers of Lake Okeechobee to fight for the classification to the KOTG Championship. A slow pace but really focus and taking advantage of the few opportunities Mr. Ross and I manage to climb all the way to the second place of the tournament and qualify to the Championship that will take place in June. It took me two seasons and 1 tournament to get the job done!
With 767 points my fishing partner for this tournament: Jose Leotaud and myself manage finished on top of the Florida Bass Nation South Region pack!. This is the first year we compete on this tournament, making this achievement pretty special.
It took a Bag of 25.48 lbs!!!!, my personal PB!!!. A solid win in Okeechobee Lake.
Second Florida Bass Nation with Bigger fish of the Tournament. This time a Largemouth of 6.25 lbs, a fish that anchor me on the fifth place of this qualifier and on the fifth placed overall for 2024 Souther Division Season. With this result I am officially qualified for the State Championship in June, Lake Seminole get ready because we are going for the pass to the final Bass Nation Championship!
